I am sure most will predict a win on the back of two win, however Bristol are on the back of a good win having gone to Watford and won comfortably. Will be a tough game and they panned us last season. 2-1 to us if our strikers turn up.

My first game of the season, Ashton Gate is walking distance from my house.
A week ago I wasn't relishing this too much (the same fixture last season being a little sobering) - but now I'm properly excited! Not expecting another four goals, but a positive, confident performance would be most enjoyable.
UTV.

Lee Johnson's boys are buzzing so it's going to be tough. Anyone's game so a draw for me.

Draw. A confident start and we take the lead. Half time sees us a goal up. They change things, the inevitable coming for some time, when they score on 73. We chuck an extra defender on and get the draw. Bruce hails it as masterful.

They have been poor so far. Drew with Milwall at home last time out.

It's the acid test. We have to show a positive intent away from home.

Same side as Norwich save Lansbury in for the injured Onomah and Bree for Hutton.

We better beat these ******. They have pissed me off lately. Two defeats in their last eleven... both against Small Heath including the game that kept them up. We should be aiming to score ten.

I think this will be a tough game so I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

Dave was supposed to start this thread. 😓

It was only 36 hours until kick-off, so the thread needed starting. If you lot decide on these stupid superstitions on days that I'm not around, how am I supposed to take them into account ?  ;)

Hopefully Onomah will be fit so the only change I'd make from the Norwich line up would be De Laet for Hutton. Villa win

Lansbury played well, set up a couple of goals and had some attacking purpose about him.

Quote from: Pravda / Peoples Daily
Keinan Davis and Josh Onomah should both be fit for Friday’s clash with Bristol City – but Mile Jedinak looks set to miss out.

Davis has struggled with a hamstring injury since making a brilliant first start against Norwich City at the weekend.

Onomah came off in that Canaries game with a head issue.

But both Young Lions are looking like being available for the Robins encounter.

Jedinak, however, is struggling.

Steve Bruce said: “Keinan has had a niggling hamstring injury, which has hung over him all week really.

“He trained on Wednesday and was a little bit sore still. We will see how he is this morning. But I expect him to make Friday. Onomah will be fine.

“Jedinak is sick. He reported in sick this morning. We will see how he is. I doubt Friday will be right for him.”
