Thoroughly enjoyed that. Glad I bothered to go as I had been in two minds. The young lads all did very well and they played with a lot of confidence.

Impressed by all players this evening.
Hogan, with a bit of luck, could have had half a dozen.

Looks like we are stuck with Gardner ...if that was a chance to impress in the shop window nobody will be interested ...... afraid I thought he was our worst performer on the night
Credit to all the kids involved and I don't recall Elphick making a mistake .........
Where was Richards tonite?

There were no poor performers this evening. He linked up very well with the players around him.

Biggest gate this eve.
Considering there were only around 20 from Wigan that's good going,

I was shocked to see a scoreline of 3-1 at HT. I'm really hoping we've turned a corner and this new found form sees us really push on. 8 goals (lots of crackers) in two games is the stuff of dreams.

Hopefully they'll stop calling Hogan a dud now. The guy has been making unbelievable runs since he came, if it wasn't for the upright or they played the ball to him quicker he would of scored more.

Adomah is looking pretty tidy as well.

Thoroughly enjoyable evening at Villa Park - and to be honest much better than I expected when I saw the line up. That's two games on the trot where we seem to have thrown the shackles off and played with more energy and tempo - in no small part due to the involvement of some quality young players coming through. Maybe, just maybe, Bruce has dropped biffball and we can look forward to a more entertaining offering from hereon in this season

Sorry he was dismal ....never made a forward run ..... no pace ..... everything was sideways or backwards and thats against Divi One opponents

Bristol won tonight, Reid scored again, 5 goals already. Whelan will be important Friday.

Fair play to the kids , but Elphick almost f"cked up trying to take a high ball on his chest and play it out.I remember thinking that would have cost us a goal in a league game.

He wasn't there to make forward runs. You only had to look at how he lined up to fathom that one out!
His play was neat and tidy. Give him credit where it's due.

Then again, I suppose we have to find a scapegoat in every positive performance!!

I doubt anyone else gave 17000+ free entry. I wonder if we counted all ST holders or only those that turned up and if we had to pay Wigan for the ST holders?

Fair play still though to everyone that turned up tonight, Lower Holte looked pretty full.
