Tough team selection on Friday. I'd keep the same starting 11 minus Hutton.

Big fucking test on Friday now, we've been ok at home under Bruce with just a few goals missing, we seem to have rectified that in the past few days. We have been wretched away from home under him, sort that out and we are in business. Please don't revert to type now that we have a bit of attacking confidence.

This was 2 teams playing a vast majority of bench warmers, young'uns and shitties. I think he won't change a lot for the week apart from De Laet getting another run out and possibly getting the look in over Hutts and chancing Hogan up top with Davis.

I think Adomah, O'Hare etc will find a place on the bench.

Not the side I would have put out but it was fairly comfortable. Fair play boys and fair play Bruce.

As I said at half time, we have spent years watching our squad prima donnas struggle to motivate themselves against lower league opposition.  Tonight was an absolute breath of fresh air. All of the kids did themselves proud but for me, Doyle Hayes had a blinder. In centre mid he looked completely at ease. Comfortable on the ball, making the right decisions,  and reading the game really well.
I think he only gave the ball away 2 or 3 times until he eventually went off.
Another one with (hopefully) a big future.

Let's hope this new batch of players breaking through speed up the demise of the wastrels like Gabby, Richards, and to a lesser extent, Huttton.

Without getting carried away by a couple of games, the future could be quite bright.
