Doubt we'll be unchanged. As per Colchester, expect to see Steer, Bree, Samba, O'Hare, Bjarnason as starters, plus Green and Davis to go again.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the following line up:

                     Steer

     Bree Chester Samba Bjarnason

Adomah O'Hare Jedinak Lansbury Green

                     Davis

Tues-Fri and Weds-Sat is the same.

Sat - Tues - Fri isn't the same as Sat- Weds - Sat in preparation terms.  The latter would allow for a day off whereas the former probably wouldn't.  It's not the end of the world, but it's not ideal.  As other have said though, Bristol City have got the same schedule so there we go.

Should care more about this game more than I do as the league cup is all about villa. Wouldn't surprise me whatever the result is hoping for an easy passage but if I was a betting man and not the villa then 2-1 to wigan

I imagine we've played Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday, which would be exactly the same, plenty of times. Most non-league teams will have played Saturday-midweek-Saturday-Monday by the time the Bank Holiday weekend is over. It's no great hardship.

It's the same for Bristol City though, so while it's not ideal we're at no disadvantage.

Try telling that to the modern pro!!

Agree, but I think it will result in quite a few changes to the side tomorrow night.  Not a bad thing in some cases as some of the squad need some game time.

They're a bunch of girls' blouses though. Bromsgrove ended last season with 10 games in April.

I think Wigan's form and position in the league will work to our advantage - they'll want to get out of the cup to concentrate on going up. I therefore predict, based on this insight and my past record for getting things right, that we will lose 6-0.

I think Bruce will tweak it a bit and he probably should. Maybe bring in the likes of Steer, De Laet, Samba, Adomah,  Bjarnasson and possibly Jedinak.

5-0, Nii Lamptey to have a blinder.

Greavsie and Gary Newbon to be raving about him on Central Soccer Special after the game.

And Greavsie still calling him "Neil" Lamptey during the commentary.

Seems to be the case in pretty much every sport now though (apart from cycling and maybe tournament tennis).

I'm not really fussed about the cup this season but it would be good to keep the momentum going.

I'm sure Davis and Green will be chomping at the bit to play, but I'd be tempted to rest them for Friday which I think is far more important this season.

Would be good if Jedi could get a run out if he is now fit.

U23s played today at BMH; ko @ 12 noon. Lost 1-2 to Stoke.

Notable absentees from the team were;
Davis, RHM, Callum O'Hare, Harry McKirdy, Jake Doyle-Hayes

Possibly being considered for inclusion the squad for tomorrow?
