I wonder if Wigan will play a full strength side?

They must be prioritising promotion too this season

There has been plenty of comparison to Newcastle last year, but they had a questionable start but got through to the QF of this cup. Winning breeds winning and a win on Tuesday with good performances will make Bruce pick 'in form' players on Friday.

Lose, even with a second string, and the whole club is under pressure again.

Rest the first teamers and play the reserves. Not fussed about the result as promotion is priority. No pressure to go through to next round, would just mean more games.

I care about the result. I want us to win a trophy. Rest a few but put a team out that gives us a good chance of winning. In any case, we need to keep the momentum going after Saturday.

I would like to get through and get as far as we can, but I just think Tuesday - Friday is too quick a turnaround for the starting players.  That would be three games in less than a week.

Exactly. It's stupid scheduling.

The same as for Bristol City. There are loads of midweek games in our division, so if we can't handle three games in a week, we are going to struggle to go up.

We played Wednesday-Saturday for long enough so what's the difference?

Bristol City also play Saturday, Tuesday, Friday. It's not like we have some big disadvantage.

All successful teams play that amount of games it's the price you pay so if want it then let's get on with it.

I'm going for a 2-1 win to Villa.
