Next 3 fixtures
« on: August 13, 2017, 07:11:08 AM »
Looking at our Next 3 fixtures and based on how we are playing at the moment I am struggling to see where our points are going to come from. If we haven't got 2 out of 3 wins from those games SB's position is under serious doubt and could even be untenable. The Transfer window closes 6 days after the BC game and we then have an 8 day break before our next game Brentford (H), lots of work to be done in that 2 weeks.... I still believe we can do something this season and go up but its clear the Villa wont do it the easy way and make sure we're on this rollercoaster until May 6th.....
The next 3 are Reading (A) Norwich (H) and Bristol City (A)

I can see us scraping a point from Bristol.

Down by Christmas.

Spoiler for Hiden:
More seriously we need a bounce back from Reading very badly to stop this losing run before it becomes the habit it has in the past.

I'd be surprised if we bounced back from yesterday's mauling with a result at reading on Tuesday

Can see us being turned over by a similar score line if Reading turn up and play like they can.

If that happens Bruce out for me, he has had long enough now and we look to be going backwards not forwards. Who comes in though is another matter

I really don't know what to expect on Tuesday, however given the noises he's making and the radio silence from the board after yesterday's game, should the worst happen I genuinely think he'll walk, or there'll be a 'mutual consent' announcement. He just seems like a man trying to stop a runaway train, and failing.

he's already toast - he knows it, we know it, the board know it. What we need is decisive action now, not in a month or two month's time. By then the damage will be irreparable for anyone coming in.

Hopefully 4 points, reality maybe 2, from the next 3 games. Hasn't been good enough, and isn't good enough. Sticking with my prediction of 8th or 9th

We need to win all three. After yesterday, it's tough to see.

Only three wins (and convincing ones at that) will do. As Ads says, I can't see that happening.

Minimum 2 wins from the next 3 or I really think he'll be gone.

It's not just that we lost either, it was the manner and comprehensiveness that means he has not much margin for error, any repeat soon and he's toast.

He's had too long in the job to still deliver this shite.

That was just a rumour that was spread around town.

We will beat Reading, Norwich and Bristol.

It's the Villa way.

No it isn't. When have the ''Villa way'' been winning tough games consistently?

This isn't 1996 anymore, we've been shit for 7 years solid. The Villa way is playing poor football and getting gubbed by clubs with much smaller resources.

4 pts from 9

sneak a 1 0 against Norwich after a cock up by goalie with Gabby putting the ball into an empty net with certain Villa fans calling Gabby a legend with SB really relieved after the result saying I will take any win at the moment .

a more likely scenario is that we lose against Reading and draw against Norwich which is then 2 points from 12 and the tin tack.
