I assume He meant Neil Cox but I might be wrong.

Wow what a great performance and that is why I like to watch the Youth and Reserve Teams play.
Kodjia did fine and looked fit enough. He played the first half so hopefully will be fit enough to play tomorrow night. I reckon He will be on the bench.  I thought Ritchie De Laet played very well too and should be in contention to play tomorrow.  In fact He should start but as He played about 80 minutes I would guess He won't.

This Team played Football in the second half that you would never see the first Team playing.  Quick, Skillful, Accurate, Interchanging positions, pressing and winning the ball back.
Every player played well tonight against a strong Southampton including Virgil Van Dijk in their ranks but Mitchel Clark, Jack Clarke, Jordan Cox, Jake Doyle Hayes and the best player on the pitch Callum O'Hare were all outstanding.
After Saturday it was a joy to watch.

Yeah, it was a nod to old Neil.

Nice report Duff, glad it was worth going to. Depressing that the Villa engine reverses when it gets to the first team.

Hi Larry.

What position did Mitch Clark play?

He played Left sided Centre Back with Sulliman his partner on the right and Oscar Borg at Left Back.
Mitch is a Centre Half by trade but they often move him to play at right back.
I've seen him play many times and only once at Left Back and that was his First Team debut.
Luckily it didn't seem to bother him and He played very well.

Cheers, Larry.

I've liked Clark every time I've seen him play.

U23's lost 4-1 against Middlesborough tonight.  Clark got sent off at 2-0.

3-0 at he time of his dismissal according to the Brum Mail.

Villa's Mitchell Clark was then shown a straight red for an over-zealous challenge and two minutes later Boro were four up when a low shot from Miller was turned into the path of Mitchell Curry who stroked home.

Fulham U16s 1-1 Aston Villa U16s. Cameron with the Villa goal. After he scored he was substituted and went on for the U18s.

Anyone think Cory Taylor has got a touch of the Tony Morley's about him?

Taylor looks like a decent prospect. Suliman looks strong and composed as well, although that appreciate the level they're playing at.

Brighton should be way ahead after that first half. Let's hope this is our good half.👍

I like Taylor but he always looks slightly uncomfortable on the left from what I've seen.

I agree on Suliman, he reads the game really well for his age, he makes mistakes but that's to be expected.

Lyden and Sarkic look too good for this level.
