Well summed up - the only thing more pathetic than the 'performance ' was seeing the captains armband passed to Micah Richards.

If the management fail to recognise and understand how much that act would have pissed off the travelling fans , we are going nowhere .

Did we have to use the Bescot for a European game in the 90s?

No, it was a pre-season against a Bucharest. I think it was John Fashanu's debut and we won 8-1 or something like that.

A friendly against Rapid Bucharest in 1994. We won 8-0.

I don't remember that game at all.

Oh and spot on about the ground. It was a pain in the arse to get to in and stuck in the middle of a massive car park.

The stadium is such a nothing structure my first thought on seeing it was that it will not be long before you can buy a football stadium on line.  Your stadium will be delivered next Tuesday some time between 10 o'clock and 6 o'clock.  Do you want the old one taking away?

We used The Hawthorns for a game against foreign opposition around 1995 as I think they were still working on The Holte. I can't remember whether it was a friendly, UEFA Cup tie or Intertoto Cup tie.

I think that the Hawthorns game was the Intertoto early in the season. I seem to recall a ridiculous booking for time wasting over a throw in and the ref blowing for time before the 90 minutes were up.
