I have had a tweet from AVFC Support saying that "Due to unforeseen circumstances we now expect tickets for the Hull City game to be on sale early next week. Thanks".

Bought my train tickets for Norwich at home this morning. If the club pisses around much longer they'd have been even more expensive in say a week or so. Sort it out AVFC!

They could at least tell us how many tickets they are taking for Cardiff and Bristol so that we can make an educated guess as to whether we will get tickets.

It's possible they don't know themselves yet. Might be worth giving them a ring and asking them on the off chance though.

The Welsh press said Cardiff are willing to give us 5,000. We should have some idea whether we are willing to take them up. I'll phone them on lunch, can't hurt, like you say.

Phoned them, they don't know. Don't like the new phone system that doesn't tell you what number you are in the queue.

Bring back Ray Fairfax I say.

My dad could never accept an ex-Albion player being given a job in the ticket office when there must have been plenty of ex-Villa players who'd have liked to work for the club.

Are we still using Seatwave for the re-sales this season or has that been scrapped?

The link on the website still takes you to Seatwave but when you get there there's no option to buy or sell Villa tickets. It's an absolute joke.

It was like this last year I seem to recall, only set up in early August.

Not going to Hull anyway but want Norwich tickets soon so they really need to set things up soon.

Serious question - how has the club managed to make such a pigs ear of this project? It truly is a work of art to be this shambolic when so much money rides on ticket revenue.
