Yet another two from top 6 final that no one will remember in years to come. FA cup is so boring when it was once the stuff of dreams.

Tell that to Wigan.

In the 25 years of the Premier League only Portsmouth and Wigan have won it outside the big clubs. Arsenal have won it seven times, Chelsea 6, United 5,  Liverpool twice and Man City and Everton once each. 8 winners in 25 years. In the previous 25 years there were 15 different winners.

Good stat

I would imagine an analysis of winning the league would reveal a similar conclusion

Even fewer. Take out Leicester and Blackburn, there's only been four winners.

Before that, there'd also be us, Forest, Leeds, Derby, Everton, Liverpool. But not Chelsea. Cos they were shit.

Juve v Napoli. 1st v 2nd.

Some players wearing red lipstick on their cheeks, to do with domestic violence against Women.

That’s what I thought but couldn’t be bothered to find out. It’s strange to me that attendances are so high in PL considering it’s lost competitiveness.

You've still got a lot of different finalists over that time frame. Can't do anything if said teams freeze on the day and make it a bit of a mis match as we of course did in our last two appearences.

West Ham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Everton, us, Stoke City, Wigan, Hull and Crystal Palace all finalists since 2006.

Good job there wasn't social media in the 1890s. Bloody boring F.A. Cup. The Villa are in the final yet again.

Yep I know. I wonder if I’d be moaning about competitiveness if the Man C rise had happened to us.

So six different title winners in 25 years of the Premier League. In the previous 25 years 1967-1992 there were nine different English champions. In that time Liverpool were the only club to retain the title.

I had Arsenal, Chelsea and Atalanta to win earlier today and was waiting on Juventus and Athletico Madrid to win tonight. Juventus 0 Napoli 1 and and Athletico 0 Betis 0.

Forza Napoli sempre
Napoli really took it to Juve in their own backyard tonight and deserved winner late on. Serie A is still an open title race.

From the fall of Keegan in 1997 to the rise of cit£h in 2011, other than one third-place appearance each from Leeds and Newcastle, the top three were permed from manu, 'The Mighty Reds YNWA', chelski and the arse.

There's always been times when a couple or three sides would boss the top slots for a few seasons, but that period was fucking ridiculous.
