There won’t be an easy run of games now.  It’s the time of the season where the better sides grind out results though.  See Cardiff tonight.

Sunderland aren't ' relegation threatened', because that would suggest there was some chance they might survive.
Haha. That was my line about us in our relegation season. When people said Villa are fighting relegation it was totally wrong as we needed about 15 points from 1 game to be doing that.

Yes, we were fighting relegation in the same way that the French were fighting the Second World War.

Cardiff on fire, Warnock doing some job there. 4 points off automatic spots in the space of 2 games, 8 points safe in play-off spots. Boro and Preston pushing hard.

Huge game at weekend but it's been a very poor week with results and injuries. All momentum from the Birmingham game has been lost.

Cardiff goal looked particularly awful all ends  a stumble down and fall at first attempt then the goal. Scrapage. Derby today looked pretty shoddy by all accounts and very wasteful. Football wise there isn't much outstanding quality so it's the obvious quality coupled with consistency that will get teams promoted. I feel villa have enough go be one of those teams in this division

Yes we even recruited a French General to finish off the campaign.

Cardiff goal was comical, looked like a double hand ball to control the ball to me

Fair play to Warnock, doesn't have much to work with there, but they seem to have been in the top 3 all season.

Colin is a twat and his team's play awful football. You can't argue with his results in this division though.

One of the best jobs he did was at Rotherham. Really wish I could find the article I read at the time about what he'd done there to turn them from relegation certainties to one of the most in form sides in the division.

Is the football any worse than what Bruce serves up?
And consider the respective resources available!

The football is worse. He doesn't even try to hide the hoof it to the big man tactic. Nor that he packs the team with giants that spend the whole game every week attempting to cheat their way to victory.

As true as that is it’s still incredible to think that a team with Junior Hoilett and Sol Bamba spearheading them are 2nd after 33 games.  Whichever way you look at it it is a magnificent achievement to date.

Without Grealish in the team, we use the hoof it to the small man tactic
