I think we should just fuck the fuckers. All of them, Game by game. Relentlessly. Until we have the Dingles in our sights and 'Aston Villa second place' engraved into the league table.

Then I think we should all have a disco.

Absolutely. Stop being so fucking cricket. Fuck 'em all. Fuck the ****** off. Go fucking Gunny Hartman on everyone.

if we have serious aspirations about going up then we have to beat Fulham
If Fulham are our rivals and below us we only have to draw with them. They will need to win.

Absolutely this. But not any disco. An Aston Social post-win Ska/Reggae disco.

Until yesterday, I had no idea that Southampton were in relegation trouble. I just assumed that they'd end up mid-table (they probably still will)

I just had the same conversation with a colleague. Haven't checked the Premier League table for ages, had just assumed Southampton were around seventh or eighth, that's where they normally are.

With 4 points between 10th and 18th, one win pretty much puts them middish table. It’s not like they are currently cut adrift.

Watched the highlights of Real Betis v Barcelona.  Messi is a genius, in football terms no other description will suffice.

Normally historically Southampton are always around relegation area. So after about 3 or 4 seasons of over achieving they are returning to their natural habitat.

Yes and last night he cost me big money. I thought the scoring had finished at 3-0 so placed a massive £10 on under 4.5 goals and then the fecker goes and scores the  fourth and sets up Shergar for fifth.

As we found out, selling your best players year after year eventually takes its toll. And they have had some run of producing/buying talented and selling at incredible prices. And you could also certainly argue their managerial talent has eroded with it. Going from Pochettino to Pellegrino with the experienced Black adding his immense knowledge. You can track their decline.

I hadn't looked at the Premier league table in ages. I was surprised the majority of teams in the league are involved in the relegation battle. Oh well, I guess we will worry about it of we go up, but it seems the gap between the richest six or so teams and the rest has increased hugely.

It most definitely is that nowadays - six teams sorting out the top 6 places and the other fourteen fighting to finish in 17th place or above.

Every team from 8th (Burnley) down has a negative goal difference. Man City have +52.

Um. I want to be back there, but it’s a scary place now for almost every team.

Youth Cup HT - Bury 0 Villa 0. Little calm football, too many aimless long balls. No stand out players yet.
