Huddersfield supporters stuck with their team and were very sporting when Kane was substituted, think they know these aren't matches they are expected to win.

It doesn't half depress me to think that not too many years ago we were better than Spurs and then you see how good they are now.

Bet he's still shit for England at the World Cup.

Let’s face it, barring one World Cup in ‘66 England have always been shit.

Wrong!  England were very good in Mexico 1970.  But for a shit goalkeeper only in because Gordon Banks actually had the shits, England would have made the final.  I would argue that that England side was better than the one that one it.

Quite right but also down to 'hit it with the wrong foot'.

Less than two years later, with Banks in goal and most of the same England Team, West Germany beat us 3-1 at Wembley in The Euros.

England have been an "if only" team for 50 odd years, i.e. not good enough.

Fair play, that's the very definition of a consolation goal for the rags.

50 odd years takes us back to 1966 which nullifies your argument doesn't it?  Two years later than 1970 and most of those same players plus Banks are two years older.  A lot changes in football in two years including West Germany on the cusp of being a very, very good side.

I sent him a message saying something similar earlier. Apparently, I am a bellend!
