Good result for us tonight at Small Heath.

And they only had 38% possession...

Because they're shit and jammed a win.

A favourable win for our recently launched promotion juggernaut.

Exactly. Wednesday will sack their manager and be in the mix at the end of the season. Small Heath will be nowhere near us.

Good result for us at Bramall Lane aswell. Wolves will be above Sheff Utd at the end of the season.

I agree with SE. Maradonna is the standout greatest footballer from last 40 years. Only Zidane came close to him. Messi and Ronaldo not even close.

In the words of John McEnroe " You can not be...

Will it breakdown in Sherlock Street?

You can guarantee it is a petrol bus and therefore will soon grind to a standstill.

Sheffield Wednesday's manager hasn't had a good week has he? I bet he is dreading seeing the chairman's number come up on his mobile before the weekend.

Harry Kane is simply unstoppable right now. Unsurprising then that England haven't got the best out of him. Another brilliant hat trick tonight.

There seems to be a big debate at the moment as to whether he is 'world class' or not. He might not be a Maradona, Messi or Ronaldo but he could be a Lineker and score a decent amount of goals for England in tournaments.

Messi hasn't proved to be a Maradona, so it's fair to say that Kane won't.

I think most people would settle for a Lineker though!

Wouldn't you say Messi is a better player than Maradona was?

Personally I discount world cups and international football as its always been a bit of a lottery and of a lower standard than top club football.

Absolutely not. Maradona is the single greatest player to adorn grass. I love him, he was my first hero. I may be a bit biased. Messi's wonderful, but nobody's trying to break his legs.

Cheers for the answer! While I probably still lean Messi its amazing how both of them were so good for so long. Like there are good players, there are great players, then there are players who have an ability to hit this "god tier" button somehow and they don't just do these crazy almost impossible things once or twice in their career, they do it year after year. Its amazing.

At club level Messi has already eclipsed Maradona having had more great seasons than Maradona, who along with his early years in Argentina had probably six excellent years at Lazio. He certainly hasn't overtaken Maradona at international level though.

Maradona was at Napoli.  You're thinking of Siniša Mihajlović.  Easily done, mind you

The other thing is you only ever see really the good stuff Maradona did, because of the lack of coverage then you won't see the games he was crap, which makes it hard to compare players from back then than now. Probably more coverage exists now of Aaron Roberts (defender for Bromsgrove Sporting) from the last couple of seasons than there is of Brian Little's entire career as an example.
