Let's be honest the Cologne fans picked the right London club to turn up at in such numbers - bet they wouldn't have been so brave going to Chelsea or West Ham. Creating a great atmosphere though so all credit to them.

Everything wrong about arsenal on show here - tens of thousands of away fans in their ground and up for it and Arsenal fans just sat there comatose, or posting panicky tweets because there's some fat German sat a few seats away.

Arsenal are the embodiment of everything that is bad about the premier league.

English football support is fucked now anyway, £40 a ticket, players mincing around on tens of thousands of pounds with very little skill. Half silent, half on their phones, it's shit.

Police intelligence obviously lacking tonight re Arsenal.

I saw about 4different groups of Koln fans near our office in Hammersmith this morning before 9am. One bloke with his little 5 year old told me there were 10,000 of them in town - I assumed he was exaggerating. He obviously wasn't....

How did they get the tickets is an obvious question - presumably resale from Arsenal  ticket holders who couldn't give a hoot about the yawn fest of the champs league group stage?

I feel sorry for Arsenal fans - I know loads who have been priced out of going regularly and have to wait for returns for the cheaper dull games. The few I know that still go have to pay £2k a year for the privilege.

Cologne bringing 20,000 fans for a Europa League group match that most of them can't get in to watch? Simultaneously absolutely bonkers and brilliant.  The fact that Arsenal fans are so upset is laughable.  It'll be the first time they'll have had an atmosphere at the Emirates in years.

Just read that Koln have brought an estimated 20,000 fans over for their game at Arsenal. That's mental for a Europa League group game.
I saw the youtube video
Do the maths, they had 2900 tickets allocated.
Bring 20,000 fans ?
How many flights from Germany today ?
How many seats on a plane ?
ferrys, cars, coaches ?
I am sure they probably brought more than double their allocation.
However I doubt the Luftwaffe planned to bring 20,000 in a day.
Open to be proved wrong with statistics.
ferrys. cars, coaches ?

I don't think it's called that.

Ha, ha.

The Red Baron has flew a few of them over. For you Tommy, ze war is over.

Arsenal fans and neutrals tweeting from the game saying how scary it is inside the ground. What a bunch of fannies.

Unconfirmed reports that the trouble started when Koln fans tried to get into the stadium early to put their towels on seats...

You mean like when our supporters hyperventilate when a Manchester United supporter comes within fifty yards?

That's one of the best things about not being in the Prem...not hearing the scream of 'gerrim' out!' whenever a 10 year old opposition fan smiles if his team score at VP. Nauseating to the extreme.

This is what happens when a manager is allowed to mange the club from top to bottom without having to answer to those above him.

Clearly Arsene underestimated the number of away fans and failed to arrange suitable stewarding, policing and segregation.
