I have a mate who is an Everton supporter and notice from my Facebook feed that Everton supporters don't seem very very impressed with Koeman and some of his dealings in the transfer market.

That's about  8 conceded in their last 3 matches.

My best mate is an Everton fan
He cut short our Thursday beers to rush home for the game same sad
He was also very bullish preseason and before the spurs game to their prospects for the season.
It looks like he will be joining the sad aspiration club with me.
I will wait until next Thursday to mention it and ask the naïve question about how Wayne is fitting in, between his drinking /philandering activities.

Just read that Koln have brought an estimated 20,000 fans over for their game at Arsenal. That's mental for a Europa League group game.
Kick off delayed by an hour at The Emirates as Koln fans are all over the ground and thousands are outside trying to smash through gates to get in. Seen a video on Twitter in a home end concourse and they're all Koln fans.

I saw the youtube video
Do the maths, they had 2900 tickets allocated.
Bring 20,000 fans ?
How many flights from Germany today ?
How many seats on a plane ?
ferrys, cars, coaches ?
I am sure they probably brought more than double their allocation.
However I doubt the Luftwaffe planned to bring 20,000 in a day.
Open to be proved wrong with statistics.
ferrys. cars, coaches ?

Not saying it is definitely 20,000 but look at the pics and videos doing the rounds now. Their fans are all over the ground and they've unofficially extended the away end. There's thousands still outside trying to get in.

I just googled their average attendance.
48,000 last year
Obviously well supported.
Day out in London why not.
sorry for being skeptical.
I hope they win.

I bet thousands of tickets were sold by Arsenal season card holders who are forced sold cup games. And , of course,  with 6 London airports including London Southend and London Birmingham there were 100's of flights from Germany ;D

Be quite an experience for the Arsenal supporters to be able to be part of a good atmosphere at the Emirates.

Obviously I hope that there is no serious trouble but the sanitised, airless and sterile atmosphere cultivated by the moneyed vested interests being punctured by supporters is ace, and nowhere better than that ground in north London.

Fell asleep during the Marseille game but looking forward to watching it unfold at the Emirates...if I manage to stay awake.

I don't think it's called that.

There are more referees in the stadium than Arsenal supporters.

Worth remembering it's their first European game for something like 25 years, with the added appeal of London.
