But I'm still sticking with you can still walk off, gash or no gash.
You are so right. Years ago I was disappointed when our Dutch fullback didn't come back on.

Hmmm I'm sure that doesn't ring a bell. Must have been a similar game. If you were losing, you could still win by decapitating three of the opposition.

The cover in case that helps

There is a still on the match thread on the beeb.  The keeper is caught flush with the whole boot across his head.  If that in not dangerous play at head height what is?

An alternative view though, back in my day and it may well have changed, Dangerous Play did not automatically mean you had to send the offender off whereas Serious Foul Play did.  It may be a fine line and totally dependent on the referee's opinion but there is a difference.

Anyway, 3-0 to Citeh and I'm off back to the cricket.

Don't think that was it. Was on the Amiga not Sega.

According to Google it seems to be "Brutal Sports Football", but that name doesn't really ring a bell either, so I reckon it might have been released under a different name in the UK.

FFS, PWS beat me to it! What was it called?

Speedball 2, one of the greatest games ever.

I'm going to get that out tonight if we lose. It'll be something to take the edge of a loss. Wonderful game.

Wasn't it Speedball 2: 'Brutal Deluxe'?

Here in Japan, it's 'スピードボール 2'....which just means 'Speedball 2', haha.

I know women who prefer that over another.
