I think Wolves won it the year I went. It was a decent enough way to pass the time during the close season, straight to the Prince of Wales afterwards. There were a couple of Albion players in there. I forget who, though.

Good luck to Linfield tonight, if a team from Gibraltar can.

Surely Linfield should be invincible with all that money we are given Loyalist lunatics in order to keep Theresa May in a job?

They should be signing Messi and Ronaldo.

Probably Catholic, mind...

Sort of related, anyone remember the Midlands Masters a few years ago at the NIA?  A Villa side won that, I think beating Wolves in the final on penalties.

One of my favorite trivia facts is that Villa won the Super Cup against Barcelona at Villa Park on the same night Small Heath won the 'Soccer Sixes' at the NEC. Has any other city had two teams who won a trophy on the same night in the same city?

The referee actually booked Leigh Griffiths for having a glass bottle thrown at him in that Wee Rangers vs Celtic game!

Why are Northern Irish people so angry all the time? Dreadful place.

Like the time the ref booked Mark Bosnich when he was having batteries thrown at him in Madrid.

Have you ever been there or met any of them?

No.

I've never been to Islamic State on holiday, but I'm pretty sure they are religion-obsessed bigoted wankers, too.

10/10 for hyperbolistic cliche. I'll let any member of this forum or any other permanently angry Villa supporter who lives in or hails from that "dreadful place" mark you on your accuracy.

Permanently angry? I'm criticising them for their ridiculous anger.

I think it would be a good idea to end this debate right here.

Well okay then, not all Northern Irish people. Just like not all Millwall fans are massive twats.

But a significant enough proportion are.

Any country that has nightly protests about a fucking flag, and has people getting up extra early so they can shout abuse at children on their way to school is definitely fucked up.

The Northern Ireland experiment has failed. If Britain is incapable of calming them down then we should let Ireland have a go.

We have politics thread for politics. As I said before, this is not the place.
