They ground share at Coleshill now. Think they had to move to be able to be promoted and play in the same division as Bromsgrove last season. So that's why I didn't go last night as the Coleshill ground is a mare to get to using public transport.

The best should go last out of the five. More pressure at the end. There have been scientific studies into this.

Regardless of where Ronaldo went, you're not likely to win if three blokes miss.

The studies said the other way round; that the best player should go first rather than last because you run the risk of your best player not getting to take a penalty at number 5. Plus having the best first gives you the chance of scoring and putting more pressure on the opposition.

If you pass by a strange man in the street today wandering around swearing and muttering about St Johnstone it is me. They let me down for a 17/1 ninefold last night.

If you're too shit to get to the last penalty, you're going to lose anyway.

Put your best player last. Pressure builds as the shootout unfolds. Save your best for last of the five, when the shootout is at its most tense.

Pick a team that's shit at penalties as an example... England.

In their penalty shootouts they have selected the following players to go first:

Lineker, Shearer, Shearer, Shearer, Beckham, Lampard.

In each case, they went with their strongest penalty taker first (Beckham was off injured when Lampard went first). In all but one case, the first penalty taker scored, but in all but one case, England lost.

Far better to save your best penalty taker for when the pressure is really on.

Baggio and Shevchenko both missed last penalties in quite decent finals?

It's about bollocks, end of.

Any professional footballer and I'm including goalkeepers would score 4/5 past there club number 1 in training....it's about who wants to, and yes your best / regular penalty taker will be in there but there is no science in which order.

I have injections in both my heels for that.
They work for me but don't for everyone so be warned if you are offered them

Been doing some research and I'm hoping it's just a one off for me as I ticked all the boxes for it to hapen ie age, weight, old trainers, doing something you haven't done for years,
so hopefully it will heal up quickly because it's very painful at the moment i literally can't walk

as with everything I'm finding it more common than than you would ever think,
Good luck with your treatments

FA Cup draw has been made. In the extra Preliminary Round of the F.A Cup Bromsgrove Sporting will play Rocester at Home on Saturday 5th August
If Bromsgrove progress to the next round it will be Coleshill Town or Wellington at Home.

Romulus 0-3 Bromsgrove Sporting. Sutton's ground was ok but pretty run down if i'm honest. I don't think i've seen another ground with enough weeds you could lose David Bellamy in them. As for the game, comfortable win against a side a division above, although I have no idea if it was their best 11 or not. Some of our new signings look pretty tidy.

Stuck up bugger. Sutton's ground is pretty nice imo.

Was at Alvechurch's ground today, for a function rather than a game. Nice little ground with a well-stocked bar and lovely scenery.

Tempted to do the next available non-league day there.

Talking about Sutton Coldfield Town's ground? I like it, I love going to grounds at this level, but weeds everywhere on the terrace and concrete. I think I even saw a triffid.

Yeah the Sutton Coldfield/Romulus/Villa Ladies ground. You massive snob "oh look at me the grass is too long and they didn't have zombie films in the club house".

No zombies anywhere as the triffids ate them all! As I said not at all being a snob, just think it looks bad when there's many weeds, some are bigger Gareth Barry's arse!. Can't be doing the concrete any good either.

I love it at this level, some of the grounds are great just because they are so quirky. Heather St John's is one of my favourites as they have a weird little clock 'stand'.
