Maybe he accidentally ordered it with a Jamaican accent.

I blame the crusty bread.

Talking of Cup Finals, 18 years ago today was my biggest disappointment as a Villa fan.

I broke a tooth that morning on a bacon butty, spent all morning trying to stop it bleeding, spent the afternoon at Wembley trying to drink away the pain, and the following two weeks having two root canals on it, after the first one failed. Cost me a flipping fortune, on top of the pain of watching us lose. And I can still feel the gentle hum of pain on it 18 years later.

Not that I'm bitter about that day at all.

My elderly mother had a nasty fall on the morning of the final against Arsenal. She fell flat on her face whilst popping across the road to visit her poorly friend and neighbour. She hurt her wrist and her face looked like someone had beaten her up. Apart from my main concern obviously being her welfare I couldn't help thinking it was a bad omen for the day to come.

I knew I was wrong to wear my new Villa shirt to the 2015 Final. I haven't worn it since. Although I feel my '57 replica has some sheen of fortune about it, I was wearing it when we lost the 2010 semi, so this week will be a minefield deciding which one to wear.

I still blame our demise from the glory days of the early eighties to struggle and relegation in the mid to late eighties directly on the fact my mum washed my 'lucky' Villa scarf.

Think it will have to be either Muller 1994 or AST 1996 to hopefully be a lucky Wembley shirt for me. I am in love with the retro 1971 home top lately though

My first Villa top was the classic seventies home top that we were still wearing up until 1981. Then I got the flash new one with the badge in the middle that summer. I got the white away one to coincide with going to Rotterdam as I had read in the Argus that we would be wearing that kit for the final. One Villa top that I recall being quite proud of at the time but not so much in hindsight was the 1983 away shirt with some yellow hoops involved. Another one that I liked and bought at the time but now looking back I don't understand why was the green, red and black Muller sponsored away top.

It has. He's been a marvellous player for club and country.

The word legend gets tossed around way too often for bog standard athletes. With Iniesta and Buffon, they are the very definition of legends. Simply giants in their sports and positions.

I work with a Portuguese fella - Sporting fan who has been telling me about the state the club are in - board members resigning en masse, fans trashing the changing rooms, defeat in yesterday's cup final..... He's genuinely upset

Look at the magic floating ball before yesterday's cup final though

Don't get me started on Sporting, no matter how bad Villa are, Sporting will always try to go a step worse. Yesterday was an embarrassment.

Chico, your mate never mentioned the fans attacking the players?

That 'stadium' for the final looked like the little athletics track we used to use for school sports days.
