New kit

June 29 - Villa Village refurb

Our Villa Village store will be closing on June 29 as we give it a fresh new look for the summer, ready to re-open for the new kit before the new season!

There will be a satellite store opening in the Villa Village car park in July, plus you can still shop online.

July 1 - Kit reveal

As we announce our new front of shirt partner, we'll also be revealing our new home and away kits for the upcoming campaign.

Throughout July – Kit pre-order

From July 1, you'll be able to pre-order your shirt as part of a range of exclusive competitions and giveaways we'll be doing across the month with our new partner.

There'll be some great prizes and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities... so stay tuned!

July 29 - Kit released

From July 29, our new kits will be available to buy in store and pre-orders land on your doorsteps.

There's also an interview with the new(ish) CCO and it says the same in there.  The whole thing is worth a look - https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2017/06/26/the-big-interview-luke-organ

I'm guessing that means we're also, for the first time in our history I think, going to have a back of shirt sponsor.

I couldn't help but laugh at the official Facebook post earlier. One of the "On This Day" posts was about signing Savo. The pic they included was of Platt scoring against Belgium!

It sounds to me like it says, a shirt sponsor on the front, as normal.

It's either twat talk like 'blue sky thinking' etc, or it does mean a back sponsor. Otherwise they'd just say 'shirt sponsor' like they have done for decades.

The whole thing screams to me that we're going to have music when a goal is scored, 'initiatives' to improve the atmosphere (plastic clappers), being spammed with pointless emails and that Paul Brown needs to check his spelling and grammar before he posts interviews.

But then again, I might just be a miserable bastard.

It's worth remembering he's from a rugby club where more sponsors are common so it's very possible that it's just a hangover from there.

I don't bet, but I'd wager that the iFollow substitute we're cooking up won't be ready on time, judging from his comments.
