0-2 and the first time we have seen a league trophy won after a match at Villa Park, I think.

0-2 and the first time we have seen a league trophy won after a match at Villa Park, I think.

We secured the 3rd Division Championship trophy beating Torquay at home 5-1 in the penultimate game of the season.

Ex Villain Big Dick Edwards captained and scored for Torquay. Brian Little debuted and scored for Villa.
The team who could no longer catch us and finished second ? Brighton.

1899-1900: we hosted Liverpool in the last game needing a draw to win the league. Defeat would give them the title so a guarantee of seeing the trophy lifted either way. Having won our previous two games 6-1 and 7-1 we finished the job by battering the Scousers 5-0 for good measure.

They really need to win this and it's hard to see how we will improve after the poor effort from last week. Also no Koj. 0-2 and good riddance to this season.

Unfortunately all I see is another defeat to end the season on another low.

Our best away performance of the season was Brighton at least for 45mins we looked like a team that knew what they were doing, let's hope this is the best at home and we finish the season with a bit of swagger.

2-1.

It's quite depressing that our best away performance was a draw!

I actually thought the 1st half away at Huddersfield was better and we ended up losing that one!

After the clueless, gutless, goal less pile of dog shit that cost me a small fortune to witness last week I feel that the players owe us a decent performance and a win to sign off with. Another dog shit performance and a defeat will see the boos ringing round Villa Park and Bruce treading on very thin ice. Not the end to this season I had envisaged 9 months ago. A solid 2/3 nil victory is the only way this season can end on a positive note.

I've gone a home loss - we just aren't expansive enough. I can understand the 'solidity' part as we were truly appalling defensively and you don't just turn around that fear, but surely it's the end of the season - give us something to shout about for next year please. We all know there's nothing at stake here.

The gel has melted and run down the drain.

I really couldn't care less.
Sad as it may seem, this is my take as well...Bruce or whoever is responsible for turning us into a dour, boring, horrible team with no ambition or attacking intent has killed my enthusiasm...until August anyway.
Never mind the players, I think we need a break...

Same here.

I will  be at Edgbaston where I will bring 8 cans of Abbot in my back pack and forego the free plastic cup of chemical piss water for arriving early at VP.

Cheers!

I hope and pray for the day Villa are back to playing decent football and aiming for the best. We're a long way off that currently. Away win, fair play Brighton.
