Andy Gray?  It's incredible no one has hit 20 since 1981. Platt got 19 two years running and Benteke was one away from 20 in Lambert's first season. Even Yorke only managed as many as 17 two years running although he did obviously break the 20 barrier in the cups.

Angel went close as well. Scored around 23 in all competitions.

All his goals seem to be belters which is great. It would still be good to see JK rolling one in from a yard out now and then.

It's a pleasant change to be talking about players and the team as a whole setting new records for the right reasons, instead of what went on in the past couple of seasons when we set some shameful club records.

Didn't Benteke get 20 in the league in 12/13 then? I assumed he had.

All top flight goals (league games obviously). To compare I want 30 from Kodjia.

That's Hogan's job.

just to roll it back a touch, the first on saturday is a truly stunning finish, he places it, with power right into the top corner, absolutely nothing you can do to stop that and the sort of finishing i'd love to see players work on much more often.

I'd be happy for Kodjia and Hogan to get 20+ each next season

And 35 from Lansbury/Hourihane/Jack/Albert

15 from Baker/Chester/full-backs

1 from Johnstone (or whichever keeper)

Wasn't it?!  I spontaneously blurted out, at the top of my voice, "What a goal!!" like an excitable 10 year old!  I didn't dare check the looks of embarrassment of the people sat around me.

I would rather Johnstone didn't score, as that would most likely mean we had been behind. I'll be very disappointed if we find ourselves behind at any point, or not leading by at least four with twenty minutes to go, in any game next season.
