I started reading the fanzine in 98 I think (first article I read was on Brian Little leaving) but only really started looking at this site in 2004.

Been plenty of highs and lows hasn't there during that time. I do long for the day we finally win something again just so I can read the glorious threads on here in the days afterwards.

Great site anyway, it does feel like a family on here even though I've only met the odd person on here face-to-face.

Congratulations on reaching 20 - can I assume that this weekend next year we'll all go up town and get absolutely shitfaced in the Dome or Pagoda Park?  That is what all 21 year olds do, right?

Pagoda Park, fucking hell that takes me back.

Romeo's and Juliet's before it was Pagoda Park- and it was named other thing before that so my parents said but I don't know what 🤔

Mac thank you and to all those of you who help to run it well done. This is my favourite go to site whenever I have time to kill.

Didn't use the site until around 2007-ish but read the fanzine from maybe 1989, can't really remember, there was the Witton Wisdom, Missing Sid and Holy Trinity, possibly some others but Heroes and Villains always stood head and shoulders above the rest when it came to Villa matters.

A real thanks to all those who have been involved both online and fanzine wise as it's been a part of my life for nearly 30 years. Here's to many more, Up The Villa.

Living for over two decades overseas, the site helps me feel like I still live down the road. Great job guys.
This for me as well. It's the equivalent of being in your local and talking for hours about Villa.

I was a mere slip of a lad, cough, when I launched this website 20 years ago today.

No expections of what it would do, no idea that it would cause as many arguments as it has. Or how much time it would take up for so many people.

I may not be around as much as I used to but thanks to everyone who had helped make this the longest running Villa website in the world.

Happy Birthday heroesandvillains.net

<Nerdberg> Scoff, but this site is Heroesandvillains.info. That means two different sites so it doesn't count. </Nerdberg>

This is home for me. Without it I'd be much younger, less stressed, better looking, but that's the good and bad of family. Thanks Mac for 20 years. I've seen a good number of those.

Happy Birthday and well done for keeping going. I did run a Villa web site but packed it in about 10 years ago or whatever.

Wow,time has gone so fast.

Thank you Mac for setting up the site, it is invaluable for those of us who live overseas and you and everyone involved with the site have done an amazing job. Just wished you posted more.

Thank you Mac. Great site.
So 1997, was it the first Villa forum on the net?
