I can't understand any of it (apart from "Atkinson M'lord") when it's sang and find it frustrating!
I'm old

"Villa aggro, Villa aggro..." when the Holte spotted Villa Harringtons and Crombies laying into opposition fans in the park.

Don't go down the Tilton Road
You'll get foot and mouth (repeat)

Just like a cow standing on the Tilton Road
You'll get foot and mouth.

You'll get it, you'll get foot and mouth
etc.

I look forward to the day that we talk about the whole m'lord thing in the past tense.

"When you're smiling..."
"Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankley 'have you heard of the North Bank Highbury?' Bill says 'no, I don't think so but I've heard of the Villa Holte End'"
"The bells are ringing ..."
"You're going home in a f**king ambulance"
"If you've a troublesome sore tooth (sore tooth) ..."
"I'd walk a mile and a bit to rub you face in the s**t, oh Francis / Wilson / add another"
"We hate Nottingham Forest, we hate Derby too ..."
"F**K 'em all, f**k 'em all; f**k West Ham Chelsea and Millwall. 'Cos we won't be mastered by no cockney b**tards..."
"In the Liverpool slums, they look in the dustbins for something to eat ..."

A few of the oldies from my early Villa-supporting days. When you're smiling is the one I always thought should have become uniquely ours.

"If you've a troublesome sore tooth (sore tooth) ..."

I recall it being ...................

"If you’ve a troublesome sore throat (sore throat)
Be sure to wear your hat and coat (hat and coat)
Take TCP and gargle every day
Until the soreness goes away"

I quite like the "Villa boys making all the noise, everywhere we go" chant I hear often these days.
Got my 3 year old daughter singing it haha

Bells are ringing, I do miss that - takes me back to my yuuf.

I used to like the original (and best) version of "Aston Villa, Aston Villa FC - we're by far the greatest..... the world has ever seen"

For some reason we started copying everyone else and inserting the word "team" after"the greatest". IMO it sounds crap.

Yes - our version was much more true to the original "Wild Rover" tune and was much better for it.

Dion, Dion Dublin in the air was a personal favourite of mine when he seemed to score a hat-trick every game for a month after joining us.

From the sixties early seventies
If I had the wings of a sparrow if I had the arse of a dove I'd fly over Birmingham city and shit on the bastards from above from above
also I hear the sound of city scum over there over there and do they smell like f*cking hell over there over there
