Nigel Spink, rolls the ball to Platty,
Flicks it on to Paul McGrath then on to Tony Daley.
Tony Daley down the wing like a torpedo
Puts the ball in the air for Tony Cascarino
I hear this one regularly at away games.

.....who then failed to connect cleanly and missed

The song mentioned in brassneck’s book “it’s so easy it’s so easy to win the uefa cup”. 1977-78

The extended note on 'air' was magic when we held on to it.

Was it boot boy or beer boys? Sure I've heard both but boot boys seems to be more popular.

"There's a circus in the town
Terry Cooper is a clown
Karren Brady is a f****** sl*g
And the Blues are going down!"

When a woman used to walk past the Holte End, usually selling programmes  - "get your tits out for the lads" was the usual song!

That is just a rejig of the eighties version.

There's a circus in the town, in the town
Ronnie Saunders is a clown, is a clown
Noel Blake is a f*cking thief
And Birmingham are going down, going down

To the best of my knowledge that started on a ferry over to France on the way to Milan in 1990. That is the first time I remember hearing it. Maybe Mr Woodhall can confirm or contradict that is he was on the same coach as us.

“They say that Saint Andrews is a wonderful place
I’ve been there myself it’s a fuckin disgrace
They say there are showers it just isn’t true
It’s a hole in the roof where the rain pisses through
Singing we hate the we hate the city
Singing we hate the we hate the Blues
Singing we hate the we hate the city
And we love it when them bastards lose”

Timeless classic......

That one is for you John - sleep tight mate.
