made the hairs on the back of ya neck stand up

6 foot 2 eyes are Blue, Sammy morgans after you. Bob Wilson was in a bad way that evening.

The bells are ringing is still one of my favourites

I remember singing 'thank you very much for Chrissie Price' when we played Blackburn too. Although not as loudly as we sang it for Paul McGrath that boxing day.

I also remember singing 'We'll take more care of you Curbishley' when we played Small Heath straight after signing him from them.

That chant was used if someone had been out of form or had been out injured. Gagey was out for a while after injuring his knee (away at Millwall if I remember right) around march 1989 (I think he missed the rest of the season). I remember it because I injured my knee playing football that same weekend and ended up in plaster and on crutches. Although I don't recall any 'Damo is back' chants upon my return to 'action'.

"Dr Tony Went To Rome In A Ford Mondeo, And Brought Us Back A Manager Called Robert Di Matteo". That one didn't last too long.

I always remember a Liverpool singing 'Thank you very much for Tony Daley' at me every time he saw me for a short period circa 1990/91. I always found this slightly strange as he never actually signed for them.

Was he getting him mixed up with Mark Walters? He went from Rangers to Liverpool around that time.

No I challenged him on it (bearing in mind I was only 11 at the time), he was convinced that Daley would be moving there.

We did indeed. A rehash of the “thank you very much for 1.5 million” to Wolves after Andy Gray was sold

I think it's appropriate seeing as we have an upcoming fixture with them that we used to sing:  Let's All Drink To The Death Of Millwall'.  For the younger people on here the song was by Dave Davies of the Kinks fame and the original title was Let's All Drink To The Death Of A Clown.
