Just looked up Big Ron, Alan Curbishley and Big Jim Cumbes.
I was convinced one of them had been an international manager; BJC could have been in cricket, as well.
Sadly, no.

I 'm now left wondering why not Big Alan?

Similarly, I was sure that I'd find that John Gregory had managed somewhere like Kuwait or one of the Stans, but, no, he has confined his career to ever more obscure club management.

Ooooh!
Dr Jo!

He's managed Czechoslovakia, Australia, Slovakia, Oman and Malaysia!

But he never played for Villa. Darn it.

He didn't play for us though.

I did not realise how many clubs Dean Saunders had managed.

Given that the first was Wrexham taking over from Sir Brian, he must have been odds on to manage Wales later in his career at that point.

I think Noel Blake and Kenny Swain have both managed young England teams and Allback has been involved with coaching the Swedes.

Eric Houghton

EDIT - didn't manage England. I was thinking of Joe Mercer as manager.

Did I dream it or was Jimmy Rimmer once the coach of the Peoples' Republic of China.

Duckagogo is where it's at using Firefox and preferably TOR if you value your privacy.

Now you've googled "jimmy" and "rimmer" you might be getting some interesting recommendations from Google Maps while you are out and about. Not only will they suggest you might like to pop in to an establishment near your location, they will also ask you kindly to take a photograph to help other users.

I thought Jimmy Hogan, but he only managed us, rather than playing for us.

Also disappointed that Jackie Sewell captained Zambia, but didn't manage them.

Phil Woosnam probably doesn't count but he ran the entire NASL for a while.
