As it isn't officially on the Ticket News section on the OS, I'm hoping that's not accurate.

I can think of no possible reason why Preston would be allowed 1,500 more tickets than us.

Has anyone ever sat in the home end there? If so, which stand would be safest?

On a few occasions.  How many rows would you like?

For clarification that is r/oe/s not r/ow/s !

The best home stand is the main stand sat there end of season game the year Wigan won the FA Cup and went down.  Ground is safe as houses.   £25 if you pay in advance - can print off paper ticket or £27 on the day.  The stand you want is the one which shows hospitality

I'd like the emptiest stand. I expect there will be a few but which is the emptiest?

Is hospitality stand more expensive?

Cheers for replies, btw.

Perhaps Wigan have forfeited the game now they've seen we're surging up the table.

No they have a  set price for the stadium.  Good Weatherspoons by the Station and you and pub crawl to the ground 15 mins  walk

The only thing I can think off is that the police have put a block on it..did we misbehave last time we went there?

We let off more flares than you find Albion fans wearing in the Brummie Road End.

There was also a few hundred Villa in their end as a result of them limiting our allocation last time (YouTube it, it's funny).

Stupid allocation.

Preston and Newcastle both had 4,800 in recent months so why we only get 3,200 is something Villa or Wigan should explain. If it is because of previous behaviour, then make it clear that this is what happens if fans misbehave.

And why has the sale and allocation only been announced less than 3 weeks before the game when EFL rules state away clubs must order tickets 5 weeks before and be supplied them 4 weeks in advance.

By the way, anyone who misses out, you can buy them in the Wigan end on the day for £27 easily enough (providing you use a bit of common sense).

I assume Tottenham had their allocations cut after hitting a linesman with a flare?

I'm sure I read in the Aston Villa Away Fan Consultation Meeting that they were giving us 4800.

Didn't Wigan mess us about a few years ago on the last game of the season only giving us 3k, and then giving us more only when they were officially relegated?

Dave Whelan didn't want too many Villa fans there, creating an atmosphere and lifting the team's spirits. The daft old twat. At the time you could get an executive box at Wigan for £60 and I think a few Villa fans took advantage of the deal. This was the Petrov mask game.
