Zummerzet have Hants at 85/6, which is not great for the Bears.

Looks like they may be replacing us in Div 1 next season :-(

George Dobell has written that Warks have made an approach to Tom Kohler Cadmore.
Can't see Pears letting him go...is his contract up soon?

Presume he is up at end of season, everything there to be a v good county batsman, hasn't yet pushed through consistently like Joe Clarke has.

You can scrap that rumour off he is going to Yorkshire, according to Dobell he has been dropped immediately which is a shame as he has been doing well lately and will weaken the side that is flying at the moment

Bears have named squad of 14 for tomorrows championship game at Southampton, including the return of Boyd Rankin:
Bell, Ambrose, Barker, Clarke, Hain, OHD, Porterfield, Poysden, Rankin, Singh, Thornton, Trott, Umeed & Westwood.
Obviously no Jeets as with the Kiwis, should see him at Edgbaston tomorrow.

Not quite in the must win territory just yet but you'd imagine that they have to start registering big points on the board to not start losing touch too early.

Hants batting first:

0/0 off 2 overs

Barker and Clarke opening the bowling. Rankin playing.

team:

ARI Umeed, IJ Westwood, IJL Trott, IR Bell*, SR Hain, TR Ambrose†, R Clarke, KHD Barker, WB Rankin, GT Thornton, Sukhjit Singh

114/3

We could do with a wicket here but there doesn't seem to be much happening.

One bowling bonus point for Worcs today. That's about it for positives. Guessing it must be a good track.

Ben Coad has taken another six wickets for Yorkshire today, he's had a brilliant start to the season.
