Job done :-) top collapsing by Northamptonshire :-)

Excelent stuff. Hopefully will stay more than the customary one season this time!

I think calling this a collapse is harsh, the conditions are quite clearly favouring the bowlers and it looks like it could well be all over in 2 days.  With the lead at 142 I'd suspect we're already not far from a competitive target, if we can get it up towards 200 I honestly think that should be enough.

Up to 198 now, think this is a tough ask for them if the conditions hold.

Guess we'll know over next few weeks whether there is any recruitment, def need to replace TK-C & Kervezee with experienced batsmen & also a reliable spinner

Hants started to lose wickets 68/3
Two wickets for Sidebottom and Patel straight after lunch.

Hants desperate for a draw to keep them up. Lose and they are relegated.

If they lose to the worst Warwickshire team that I can remember they deserve to go down.

It's a toughie, whoever goes down deserves it, Hampshire were 'promoted' when Durham were 'relegated' and then in order to help the English game packed their side with Kolpac players, I might have imagined that bit.

Looks like there's no points deduction due to a dodgy pitch, so it's been a hell of an effort from Ziderset to stay up.

Won three out of the last four games I think

That Somerset pitch is ridiculous, they open the bowling with a spinner, and bowled a grand total of 3 overs of seam in the second innings.

Hants definitely playing for a draw. We have put Lamb and Thomson on to tempt them with 7 fielders close to the bat, to no avail. 113/4 at tea.

Well done Pears boys, div 2 champs - Mitchell, Clarke, Cox, Leach & even Barnard / Tongue should all be discussed when Lions squad is selected....bet only Clarke does tho :-)

Couple of astute signings and will hopefully have a good go at staying up rather than yo-yoing

Bears fans you'll be glad Notts are up too, makes bounce back a lot easier for you.

The season has gone pretty much as I predicted after witnessing the opening game at the Oval.

Too much to hope for a patch of light the end of the tunnel.

Only 19 batting points all season for the Bears, abysmal season in league 1.
