Kodjia is possibly the one shining light of another fucking crap season, yeah lets blame him for our scoring problems.
There's no doubting his ability, or the quality of his goals, but we'd have scored a lot more if he had any awareness of his team-mates when he's on the ball.
I'd have fallen out with if he'd been in my team.

It's possibly like the Darren Bent conundrum. He'll score plenty, but will it be to the detriment of the team as a whole. He's scored our only 2 goals in the last 4 games, with a player passing more would we have scored more than 2 goals?

I would do this

Bring in Sarkic for Goalkeeper and drop Johnstone.

Play 4-1-3-2 formation passing game.

              Sarkic

Bree Chester     Baker Amavi
                  Jedinak
 Lansbury    Hourihane Grealish
                Hogan  Kodija

I will make sure Hogan and Kodija are room mate and make sure they are great friend and get them to look at video of Dean And Dalian and make sure them understanding it is better to hunt together.

We seem to be really missing Jedinak in his DM role, so, going to get slated here, until Jedi is back I would have Gardner in the defence midfield role.
He played there really well, by all accounts, for Forest.
It's the one position that isn't covered by a like for like.

Sarkic is only 18 ! And totally in-tried and you want him to face Newcastle ?
It's going to be a dour defensive team he puts out, I bet. So no place for Grealish, in my team and I would only go with Hogan up front and Kodjia to bring on when he will naturally get the better of Ciaran Clark late on.

Yep. a lot like Ayew except he puts the ball in the net rather than hitting the woodwork.  But he just isn't a team player at the moment, and we need to play as a team.

Yes. But is it a language barrier ?  a coaching barrier ?  or is he just plumb determined to get himself a move in the Summer to even bigger bucks ? My money's on the latter and no-one else is going to be the beneficiary.

absolutely he was beyond awful last night. As for Kodjia, he'll be picked up by a PL side if he gets anything like the haul he did last year. 30-40 goals in 2 seasons for two struggling Champinship sides says you're worth a punt in the big league.

We need to identify a system that suits and persevere through the final quarter of the season with it.

For me it's 4141.

Jedinak or Gardner need to sit and do the dirty work in that compressed space between the midfield and defence. It may stop us dropping too deep or equally getting caught ragged.

Hourihane and Lansbury would be the central two. Kodjia I'd have drifting wide. The midfield and Kodjia would need to get close to Hogan and I don't think that's possibly in a flat 2 centrally.

Adomah or Green wide for direct pace.

Absolutely no fucking chance will Kodjia be picked up by a premier league team, theres a reason why he's 27 and at the arse end of the championship, McCormack banged in 30/40 goals for lower championship sides aswell but no top division club would touch him.  Kodjia is all about Kodjia first and foremost, we'd be more of a team without him for sure but having said that he's the only fucker who gets us out of our seats at the minute.

Maybe they should show a MON era match on the big screens during the game so no-one notices what's going on on the pitch and the guys won't get al tense and ooh-ahh.
