I think we have to keep him for now and hope to goodness that we are still within play off range at the turn of the year. If so then we should have a change lined up.

I have no confidence that SB will change his dinosaur philosophy anytime soon

What do Brian Little and Ian Taylor think? They have clout and respect.

I actually think the very real prospect of getting canned might spur him on for a while. Give him some targets - top six by the beginning of December - and some red lines ( no oldies giving youth a chance etc) and see what the state of play is going into the winter. As someone else said their might well be a few PL managers looking for another gig by then, or other options not viable now.

We should not be out of the top 3 anytime during the season - that's the criteria for Bruce 'moving on'

So he should be sacked before we kick off on Monday.

with respect being top three permanently is unrealistic unless we have some spectacular signings up our sleeve

I still haven’t seen any credible answer to who picks the next manager if we get rid. I am assuming none of us trust Xia to make the right choice, the new co-owners have no football experience and we have sacked Wyness and Round. The next appointment has to be right, we have what looks like a huge opportunity so to rush into making what will be the single most important decision for the sake of punishing Bruce seems illogical

To be honest, I think the appointment of a new Director of Football is the most important decision at this point.  We need someone who has the vision and experience to take the club forward.

I agree but would add a new CEO as well. Those 2 will be the ones who decide how we move forward and whether Bruce is part of it or not. I hope they decide he isn't and put a structure in place that means we're never again in the position of thinking hiring 5 over 30s in a single window is a good idea (ok, technically Elmo and Snoddy were 29 when they signed but both of them turned 30 in early september so I'm counting them as over 30 for last season).

I'm not really sure how modern football clubs are structured exactly, but would think that the relationship between the CEO and Director of Football is an important one and they have to have the same vision and goals.  I would really like to see two good appointments in those two key positions who can implement a progressive and sustainable structure at the club.

Does any kind soul know how / where I could get odds on Henry as next manager for us?
Not ITK at all, but simply fancy a flutter whilst there’s still be a decent price

If Bruce gets the tin tack tomorrow then of course he’ll be instant favourite after that so I would love to place a bet prior to any Bruce news

A quick search of twitter shows a few bookies won’t offer the market yet until Steve gets pushed, but would be great to know if anyone knows of bookies that could price it up?

As I say I don’t know anything I just think there’s a high chance he’ll get the boot so would love to place a bet prior

Cardiff did pretty well last year and they didn't have ANY spectacular signings, probably didn't have one player who we would have liked for that matter!

Out of interest, why are people so against Henry?
