Yes he had  a whole  four months in the job then. Internet fans you couldn't make it up.

To be where we are with the prospect of Terry, Green, Grealish, Lansbury and even Hogan & Gabby all returning at various points between now and January must make us look a pretty ominous prospect for other teams in the top 6.  Sheffield and Cardiff are playing well, but I bet their fans are worried and expect us to catch them.

About the same amount of time as the guy he replaced then, which is exactly the point, stupid people they do make it up.

Sheff Utd fans I know are really concerned as they lost their best player to a broken leg.

Where are we at with this? Is Saturday's match against whoever it is another MUST WIN?

Not just a MUST WIN but MUST WIN in a particular way in order to give some wriggle room for us to moan about.

Just read this article https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/nov/22/managerial-sackings-premier-league-everton-west-brom about why 5 Premiership teams have sacked their managers so early and the apparent shift of power to smaller clubs with a progressive outlook who are doing well in the League following promotion from the championship. I thought it maybe of interest and relevant to this thread as it touches on some of the subjects and reasons why there is so much debate between us regarding Steve Bruce, his style of football, where we are currently and where we need to be.

I'm no fan either, but since we lost at Reading on Aug 15th our league record is W9 D4 L2. Last 11 league games is W8 D1 L2.

we are a winning machine
I’m surprised one of the top clubs haven’t come in for Bruce already

No it's a MUST WIN rather than a MUST WIN.

A must win? Yes I'd say so. Need to up our game after last night's unconvincing win.

It's not so much that the game is must win as we could really do with a run of wins right now, 5-6 on the bounce would take us into the christmas fixtures bang on form and with confidence up.  More so than any other run of games I think a poor christmas can make or break a season. It's 4 games in 9-10 days and sets you up for the January window, get it right and you're presenting a club going somewhere to potential signings, get it wrong and the signings can easily turn into panic buys (which I think happened last year).

Before we all get too carried away with the pisstaking, let's not forget we're 9 (nine) points behind Wolves still.

But 7 behind Sheff Utd and 2nd will do anyway. There's such a long way to go. We're doing ok.

He seems to have settled on a formula that is  getting results, it’s ugly but at the moment effective.
To get automatic promotion he still needs to.
1.come up with a plan B
2. Get results against the Top teams in the Division.
