we have become the team that Bruce always produces wherever he goes,
capable of being in with a shot at promotion no doubt but in the image of Blues, Hull, Sunderland etc

I could think of better clubs we should be aspiring to be like

If I'm honest I'm willing to accept this version of a Bruce side, What we saw last season (and in the first few games this season) was a Bruce top flight side - go into every game thinking a point is a good result, play for the clean sheet and hope we nick one.  We're still quite defensive but he is now at least the gap between the striker ad midfield is reasonable, too often since he arrived we've had 9 players deep and a lonely front man 30 yards away from them.

yeah I’m not on board Yet still not a big fan

I might have mentioned it

It should be pretty obvious that I'm not either but whereas last season 'win ugly' or drop points were the only options we now seem to be moving towards 'win ugly' being the backup plan.

I'm no fan either, but since we lost at Reading on Aug 15th our league record is W9 D4 L2. Last 11 league games is W8 D1 L2.

One one thing we've tended to do is bounce back quickly after a defeat.

We're doing ok, it's going nicely. Let's hope it continues.

Firmly in the playoff places now, so he is achieving the minimum acceptable standard at last.

You have to say he has us winning and the form is good at the moment. Starting to believe we can get automatic promotion.

4th. and the same number of points away from automatic promotion as from failing to make the play-offs.

Only Wolves in better form over the last 5.

After last night we're closer than we were with Sheffield United losing.

We may not have been brilliant, but we won.

He's not the manager to win the Champions' League with us but right now he's doing ok. We need to keep this up and we'll do just fine.

I wonder how many other teams sitting 4th in their respective leagues have a thread dedicated to getting their manager out ?

...that started almost a year ago when we most certainly weren't 4th!

I agree. Besides, it can be very amusing.

It should be renamed “Bruce in, out, shake it all about” to cover all strands of opinion.

When we were in a similar run to the one that got the previous manager sacked.
