This is the problem with Bruce, just when you think the penny has dropped you get this result.
So why
Have a midfield 2 of Whelan and Hourihane
Start Snodgrass who he knew was not fit
Start Hogan.

So 7 points out of the last 15, no where near automatic promotion form.

The bigger issue with Hogan is not starting him its paying 12mil for a striker who doesn't fit into style of play Bruce is deploying

Not my fault they lost, I just keep pointing out the mistakes he keeps making that cause these defeats.
If you want to remain blind to this blokes failures that’s fine.
As I said I won’t criticuse Bruce whilst we are in the top 2 which is where we should be.

Well there you have it really...A game on paper at least that we should have strolled to a win. Early goal so the Bruce plan goes out the window and what do we see? A team utterly incapable of being creative and taking the game to the opposition based on the ability to pass better than them. We just can't do it, and that's why no-one is betting on us going up. Okay, the injuries disrupted us but that is a story in itself. Why is Samba our main back-up. I defended Bruce when he arrived because i didn't think he was being bought as a direct replacement for baker, but apologies i was wrong. Anyone with half a brain would have bought in a baker replacement and it wouldn't be hard to find better, but no, not Nan's Hair. Why have we got 1 striker worthy of the name? Again a complete fuck up laid firmly at bruce's feet.

I guess the best you can say is we're now firmly in the play-offs/best of the rest group of the table and seeing that includes teams down to 15th you've gotta hope we're at least the 4th  best team in that group to secure a spot. But you wouldn't bet on it with Bruce in charge.

Get rid. I've seen some crap football at villa but when you factor in money spent and the league we are in, Bruce tops it for me. He's awful.

It's not going to get better.

He's not going after 2 defeats in 12.

Not really. It was completely comprehensive defeat at home where we were totally outplayed. If you can't criticise now.........

It was one of those days, it's going to happen. He's still got my support.

For those that don't like Bruce i'd say it's that "one of those days" isn't overly rare that's the ongoing cause for concern.

Bruce (and his team) should get a bollocking for being able to make Barry Bannon look like Andrea Pirlo.

Quite. For me "one of those days" describes a performance where things don't go your way, but its a reasonably close game.  Not turning up isn't "one of those days" to me,

He's not going after 2 defeats in 12.

I have no doubt about that.

I do have doubts about getting promoted. My prediction is 9th place with Bruce.

As much as I don’t rate Bruce the last dozen games buy him enough credit for today.  How we react & deal with weeks without Terry will be interesting, Samba will improve for playing but he isn’t Terry.

The problem is Bruce has never averaged more than 1.8 points per game in the championship and that is exactly what he is delivering here. So at his best he will  make it to play off position nothing more.
