It's quite depressing that since going down we've spent no time at all in the top six of a league that is pretty shit with a squad that is one of its most expensive.

Agreed - no excuses, we have to be in the top six this time next week Steve.

we are in that worst position possible with Bruce i feared this would happen at the start of the season

not bad enough to get the sack

not good enough to be our manager

Bounce back next week and we will be in the Play Offs and possibly a victory in Mordor away from the automatic spots. To put another angle on it.

Yesterday shouldn’t matter but it’s part of a general problem in that we never, ever nick results off decent teams but regularly have results nicked off us by worse teams. It’s a very bad combination.

If he goes to Small Heath and sets us up negatively and scared to lose I'd sack the prick at half time. Watching us there last season cling on for a draw and not even try to win second half was embarrassing.

I prefer to see it from your angle Ads as opposed to some of the hysteria that is across social media since 7.15pm last night..thats modern football for you I suppose.

I’m not sure he does set out to play negatively
I don’t think he knows how to set a team up with any clear defined tactics

he buys players and hopes for the best that they gel, sometimes it works sometimes not, but clearly he hasn’t got much idea about what he’s doing as far as systems and style of play are concerned

I mean take the 1 niller over bottom club Bolton, he wouldn’t have told the players to hold back at home against them yet we were crap, scraping and hanging on in the end to a penalty goal winner,
I don’t think that is what he intended, just what we got because he’s next to useless

we have had a winning runs with Bruce and unbeaten runs but never ever have we had a run of good form,
maybe we won’t need them to scrape our way up but surely we can do better than this

I'd have thought the worst position possible would have been bottom of the league but I suppose we all have different priorities.

I prefer to realise that the football we play under Bruce is very very very rarely exciting, and non existent against anyone half decent.

A poor manager, and one that hopefully will be replaced soon.

Everything you need to know about us and how we play in a nutshell; we're 7th in the league but our player of the season so far is our goalkeeper.

A decent signing by Bruce then.

Johnstone is decent, absolutely. It's the midfield for me that needs toying with. Basically Onomah has to play. And players need to play in their correct roles. How hard can it be?

Apart from Adomah and Hutton, who was playing out of position?

Apart from Adomah, Hourihane playing as a deep lying midfielder, Whelan playing further forwards, Hutton playing left back and Elmo playing right back, no one.
