I have no worries about beating midtable teams and lower, I am not convinced about how we'll do Vs Leeds, Wolves and others around the top. Be interesting to see but certainly there's hope now and a bit of stability.

Yep - remains to be seen

Wolves is going to be a big challenge. Bruce clearly felt the international break left a lot of our players jaded v Brentford

For all their Portuguese players I'm not sure how many regularly play international football

Either way, one game won't prove anything positive or negative by itself

One game rarely does though, does it?

12 games into a season starts to tell us something though.

A good result against Wolves will at least suggest we are capable of performing against the teams at the top, not just the strugglers and also-rans.

That's what I'm hoping for.

I think the Wolves game is huge, a win would give real momentum, a draw would be fair and a loss would confirm the notion that we come up short once we play any one half decent.

I think a result for Villa any way up would be great. :)

Without a left back as well.

Apparently we're going to appeal the red.

Well I hope we have more than one. But absolutely. That's what a squad is for and a manager.
Every possible reason to smite the wolves and send them back to the er caves they came from.
Oooh.

Apparently we're going to appeal the red.

Doubtless they will extend the ban on him to spite us then.

I don't see why we should, it was one that would normally be red, as soon as you have your foot that high from the ground in the tackle you're in trouble if you make contact with the player, regardless of what happens to the ball.

I don't don't think that would normally be a red. It wasn't studs up, over the ball or wildly aggressive

Not sure it will be over turned though

I didn't think it was, more clumsy as he'd had to turn suddenly back on himself. Thought Lansbury's was worse, as it was just wank lazy cheating.

Of course it's high and of course it's studs up, the bouncing ball makes it look less dangerous but it's the qame silly challenge, chasing a ball he's failed to control, that he made to break Coleman's leg a few months back.  I agree it's not wildly aggressive but it is reckless and because he's off his feet it is out of control and could easily have caused a nasty injury.

Not a red for me. Didn't think it at the time and didn't think it on the replay. It's a clumsy booking. Nothing more.

Would be very surprised if this one gets overturned.

Falls under the reckless/dangerous play criteria endangering opponents safety. Really stupid from Taylor aswell considering it was the 95th minute. He also has previous of course which the Ref might've thought of if he has Irish blood.

It reminded me of the challenge the Sheff Weds player made last season in pretty much the same spot.

Would like it to happen of course as we're without a solid LB for three crucial games in our season which isn't ideal.
