He's found a formula. That's what he's paid to do, therefore he deserves credit.

Obviously if we lose the next game he's shit and must go immediately.

Ha ha ha.

Absolutely spot on.

There was no mass hysteria, Brucie was being held to account for not performing to an acceptable standard given the tools he has at his disposal.  Given his defiant reaction I'd say those above were asking a few questions as well.

Another good win going into the international break will mean we don't have another fortnight constantly debating whether he is still the manager which will be good for everyone :-)

What we need now is to continue going forwards (in play & results), there will be bumps in the road with the odd defeat but what we absolutely cannot have is another of those catastrophe months where we blow a promotion build.

Hopefully this is the start of an upward curve, time will tell!

He absolutely deserved to be held to account for some poor performances and results

He didn't deserve to be called a fucking dinosaur, an idiot, incompetent or worse than a potato on a stick

I said before the beginning of this run of 6 games that we needed a minimum of 14 points and have moved into the top 6 if we are going to have a realistic chance. We are on course for the 14 points but I think we will be just short of top 6.

We still have ground to make up and we must take a better than average points return from our run of harder games or we will drop off the pace. Play-offs is not good enough and we have to be going all out for one of the top two positions.

October does look a lot harder. And we've not beaten anyone above tenth yet

The Wolves game is gonna be massive - performance as much as the result

All about momentum now and grinding out results. Will be a slog but just need to stay in and around top 6. Also hopefully avoid injuries. Looking more interesting than last season now!

This. This is fair and wise.
We have played crap football for months.
At the beginning of the year we lost 7 games out of 8.
We did not have a recognizable style of play.
I think that a manager is good as long as he obtains the 100% from the tools he has at disposal.
He did not do this  so far.
So he was criticized. Fairly. Do you remember that we played one up with Brentford? Awful.
Now he's doing well but we still haven't faced teams above the 9th place, so it's early to state  that the sick (that is Villa) is healed.
I think that with the players that we have in the roster we should get promotion. For this reason I would have sacked him one month ago. Now that things improved I wouldn't sack him but he is only doing his duty, he didn't transform in Pep Guardiola for beating the brewers and for sure I would change him next season hopefully in Premier League.

I was backing him to get it right whilst admittedly running out of patience in it happening. Of the criticisms above he clearly isn't an idiot or incompetent but on occasions I can see why the dinosaur dig gets wheeled out.

It’s a football forum, what do you expect?  I think you’re being more than a little precious there.

Anyway, it’s been a massive improvement of late, which make some of the decisions early on, like playing Bjarnason instead of Adomah; hoofing balls up to Hogan and the 5 at the back with Samba against Bristol even more mystifying.

He is a fucking dinosaur. I'm genuinely pleased for him that he's managed to find the winning formula. It isn't rocket science though, is it.

I think most fans were just baffled at his negative, somewhat prehistoric tactics in certain games, that's all.

Of course, everyone of us wants the team to do well and the manager to be the user of interesting tactics.

It is a forum where views are to be put forward after all.

Well done Brucie.
