If Palace get a result next week, some could argue that acorn er has been turned.
Leave it out.

Presumably there'll be no complaints next time we get 65% possession and lose.

We battered Cardiff 65% to 35%.

It's not all pointless possession though, yesterday for about 15 mins in the second half we barely went into their half. Only good keeping, desperate last ditch blocks and challenges by our defence and wank finishing meant we weren't 2-1 down. Once we scored they were never in it again but you can't afford spells like those when 1 up as even if it's only now and again, some teams will take advantage and we'll finish with 1 or 0 points instead of all 3, and playing catch up doesn't leave us massive wiggle room.

Absolutely. We left much too much to the last line and for long periods allowed them to dominate midfield. There didn't seem to be anyone in the middle of the park prepared to put his foot on the ball and hold play up a bit. It was the same against Barnsley. Fortunately we were up against two fairly mediocre teams. Pretty sure we won't get away with it against Wolves or Leeds.

They had one chance beyond the goal where they may have scored.

The free kick was well saved but bread and butter for the keeper. They created Jack all.

I don't disagree with that, but are we gonna hand 13 shots to the opposition each game in the hope they're as bad as Forest?

We can get away with it at VP I think as we'll always have spells of pressure.

Cardiff must've had 13 shots against us and they well and truly battered us after the first 10 minutes so it's not a great tactic away from home.

Don't think we'll get that with Spruce.

Points won in games with the minority of possession 11pts
points won in games with the majority of possession 2 pts

It's deffo a Brucie plan. If he takes it to its logical conclusion we could be in the CL league and not touch the ball all game.

I really don't understand your obsession with possession stats ! I'd understand it more if we were losing games, but we're unbeaten in 6.It just looks like moaning for the sake of it.
Take a look at Leicesters possession stats when they won the league. I'm pretty sure their fans weren't bothered

well i think its interesting. Leeds for example have got 10 points from games with the majority of possession with most of them earned at home which sort of makes sense - you have less of the ball away from home traditionally.. We're the exact opposite. And i'm sorry Leicester may be a good example  of limited possession winning games but the football isn't. Bruce's Villa, like all his sides are awful to watch
