Most of their possession was them passing the ball around in their own half.
The Championship is a competitive league and I don’t think you’re gonna dominate many games really. Personally I don’t care how we play as long as we gets wins.

Play like that against good sides who don't pass the bark around in midfield aimlessly and the result will be very different.

The good news is there are hardly any good sides in this league, so it's probably not worth worrying too much about.

I wood tend to agree.

I think it simply comes down to whether you can use the possession you have (whatever amount that is) to create enough opportunities over the course of a game so that you don't have to rely on things like the opposition gift wrapping you a goal or two, or uncharacteristically ruthless finishing (unless you have a player like that on the books, which we don't really have), or feats of genius that are highly unlikely to be repeated to make the difference for you.

I don't think we're quite at that stage yet. Certainly, yesterday, apart from Adomah's goal, I think we created mostly half-chances - I mean, although we do have good free kick takers as Hourihane proved, those tend to go in once every few games, rather than in every game.

If he ups his game, excitement wise, I'd see no problem with having Spuce on an evergreen contract.

You both need a good birching for this sort of humour.

If Palace get a result next week, some could argue that acorn er has been turned.

Presumably there'll be no complaints next time we get 65% possession and lose.

The world according to Pep Lambert
