I give SB a lot of credit for coming out fighting.

To be clear, I don't (& never did) want him as Villa manager. And I stick by my views that I don't think he will get the job done.

But I also think most fans are fickle - they dish it out, but seem to struggle to take it back. Why shouldn't he come out fighting - there are many on here calling it 'guff' - well one look at these pages and am sure we will all agree there is a lot of 'guff' on here all the time (from me included).

I think it shows he cares, and at the end of the day, I do believe he's a good man at heart. So fair play to you Steve - we might disagree tonight on many things, but I'll give you the credit thats due for not hiding away from the criticism.

Got to find that consistency before he starts bleating. He has selective memory does Bruce. I want my previous criticism of him rammed firmly down my throat, but first, show me the consistency and the quality in performances. Forest and Burton should yield six points, after which, then I will start to believe. Credit where it's due, good result today.

Great result today, and credit where credits due, but cant help feeling that fan pressure picked that formation today. Maybe cracks were papered over, but Bruce needs to see what happens when his side are left to attack teams in this league. You got the result today, don't fanny about with the formation, go out all guns blazing in the next few games, and you'll see that there is no mass hysteria, just Villa fans who could see what the problem was. Why couldn't you?

Forest, Burton and Bolton left this month in the league.

I think anything less than 7 points from those 3 games and Bruce would still deserve to go

If we had lost he would be gone, one good performance no way makes up for the crap he has dished up over the last few weeks. Kodja coming back may just save his job.

Pretty much every football fan on the world is fickle, however "dishing it out and not taking it" has nothing whatsoever to do with fickleness. I also can't think of too many managers that last long once they've started criticising the fans. He's been using "mass hysteria" to deflect from his own failings. I'm delighted we won 3-0 today, I still want him gone though as I have no confidence we'll be promoted under him, and if he stays I hope i'm wrong.
