the problem is we have as a fan base been battered, bruised and abused over the years and become conditioned to accept crap, crap managers crap football etc

that's why we say 'who can do better' 'who will come to sort this mess out' and we forget who and what we are and think the likes of Steve Bruce and his shitball is doing us a big favour

we have become the footballing equivalent of that Reek fella in Game of Thrones

Its not just Bruce though is it?
The whole of the backroom staff should be shipped out too!
I have to ask WTF goes on at Bodymoor Heath, as it seems our "coaches" have not got a Scooby!!!

The question has to be asked after yesterday, have the players lost confidence in the manager?  If you do not believe 100% in your boss, performance levels drop dramatically when things do not go to plan.  If things go well, you put your doubts to one side until the next setback.

Hmmm...didn't we have a reasonable start under Bruce for about 10 games and then Calderwood joined us??

I've said all along that I think Calderwood is a huge factor in all of this.

Our performances went from average to absolutely appalling.

For those advocating give it ten games.  To put that into context if we won our next four games we would still only have two more points than the current leaders assuming they don't pick up another point which is unlikely to happen.  It makes it very hard not to justify a managerial change.

Didn't our performances drop drastically when he joined us as a player too?

The performances do concern me and yesterday's result and performance was very poor.  It also concerns me that we don't have enough of a back up play for when Kodja isn't fit (which seems it maybe often).  The defence is still hit and miss, midfield is improving but is still a work in progress.  But its still a no for me.  The earist I'd make a change is Christmas.  We've backed him now and we have a lot of players tryng to settle in.  Results overall have improven since he came in.  I'm not totally convinced, but I think sacking him this early is hash.

Hash? We could all do with some of that the way things are going at the moment. ;)

See that's the thing, results haven't improved, they did for a brief period but 11 points from the last 12 league games is almost exactly where we were 11 months ago and comes after a period of 10 without a win last time he had Jedinak and Kodjia unavailable.  He's added 12 players (if you ignore Bedeau) to the squad and he still appears to be utterly reliant on 2 guys that RDM added last summer.

Tuesday will be his McLeish Bolton moment. A poor defeat in front of about 25,000, who turn on him at the end.

Bruce reckons he had 90% of his team away for international duty, surely more bullshit from the Potato that can't count?

I'm really not one to be advocating sacking managers unless it's absolutely neccesary. I despise the modern day culture of getting rid of people so quickly. But I'm fast coming to the conclusion that Bruce just isn't the right for us. We should be playing 2 up front in home games, going on the attack against far inferior opposition, instead of playing with fear all the time. I want him to succeed but I just don't see any improvement in the side despite a substantial overhaul in playing staff.

If I was him I would start to go for broke with the forthcoming matches in September because if not and these performances and results continue, he will  deserve the sack by October 1st.

6 points from 18. Only 7 scored and 57% of those goals came from one game!
Bruce made a huge deal last season about how bad it was that we started the season badly, but now he's over seeing a similar poor run (which is now his 3rd major block of terrible form in a year) he trying to reinforce the message that we still have lots of games left and playing it down as much as possible.
He is feeling the pressure IMO and must know he is on borrowed time.
