the
I generally hate booing your own team but today it was justified. Out of interest when is Bruce's contract up?

He has a year left. Its a rolling contract so that is true at anytime. A years compo is what it will cost us to get rid. Not too bad all in all.

then all the backroom staff

I'm annoyed with myself for getting my hopes up and believing today would be a win.

Rolling from the start of the season or from when he joined?

Rolling every day. It is always a year left.

Rolling from when he began the joint of mind bending drug concoction. It is the only explanation.

I predict 8 out of 15 points for the rest of September. Respectable, but not great when you are trying to play catch up.

After last season when Bruce failed to get us into contention for the play-offs (which he had plenty of time to achieve) and having witnessed his brain-freeze of last Jan/Feb and his pathetic end to last season, I was only prepared to give him 6 games max this season. Those 6 games are up and Bruce is failing in respect of achieving auto promotion this season! To have any chance we need to have at least 18 points after 10 games or at least 21 points after 11 games. To achieve these targets we need to win each of the next 4/5 games. We won't do this under bruce. Therefore the time has come for Bruce to go with nothing but failure on his CV. I hate the prospect of more upheaval again, but Bruce is clearly not up to the job and a new manager needs to come in when he can realistically do something about our promotion prospects. That time is NOW not after 10/11 games, when it will be too late.

Bruce: Davis was sore on Friday,  has been suffering for two weeks.

Why play him then?

He can't leave soon enough for me! We are never going to challenge under him and his outdated zero plan idea of football. May as well roll the dice and see what the next guy can do

Because despite signing a load of players none of them are target men...

Today's game was SB's Waterloo. What a clusterfuck of a game.

There appears to be no distinctive game style; no evidence of effective coaching and training (God, if I see another throw in going to the oppo again ...); no in game management; and no leadership.

He should get the sack tomorrow morning.

When Old Mother Bruce describes the youngsters as being jaded the sub-text is that they've stopped listening. Like the rest of the squad.

I think we should wait until October. Just to make absolutely sure that any promise and belief is beaten out of the young players and new signings, and it'll also give the new man a good two months floundering around while he "assesses the squad" and "wipes the slate clean" before that pesky transfer window opens.

That's The Villa Way. And I'm fucking sick of it.

Tone, put him out of our misery now.
