I don't read any of alfititms's posts. They're too much hard work.

They are not posts.  They are are attempts to provoke and annoy.

Didn't Green make his debut under Garde?

(not that that invalidates your point or owt)

The anniversary of the death of Princess Lady Diane has hit some of us harder than others.

It's almost like "tl:dr" was invented for them.

I cannot recall to be honest, but you could well be right.

I'll add Blackett-Taylor into the list as well.

Plucking Jordan Henderson out of the youth team at Sunderland was probably the best example of him giving young players a go.

When he got SHA up first time an 18 year old scored their winning penalty.

Think it's a bit unfair to say he dosen't give young players a go. He prefers experienced players but so do the majority of managers in the leagues.

Any manager in any sector likes the idea of youth, energy and new ideas but when the chips are down they want someone they can trust to deliver.

A blend is of course the ideal situation, as long as results are positive.

I thought alftitimus made some interesting points.

Doesn't paint Bruce in the best light if true. He's here to get us promoted, not build Villa's infrastructure. If he can manage that - great, if not we are fudged. Personally, I think we'll be short again this year, but I'd love to be wrong.

We're regularly playing three or four 19-20 year olds in league games

Yes they came into the side as older players were injured but that basically how most kids get their breaks

He's also blooding them in the cup

Of all the things to criticise him over I just don't see this one

That's how I see it. Trouble is, I don't see him doing either
