The difference between us and the top two doesnt look tight after five games. Only 10 points behind cardiff, still at least the next 2 /4/6/8/10/20/30 games should see us pick up points

Just watched forest v Leeds. Things just got a whole lot more difficult. They've found a really good manager and they look formidable. He's picked up some quality players and he's got them playing with style. Alioski, I know who? looks a great player. Right now we're looking way off them, Cardiff and Wolves. Come on Steve you gotta stop with the rambling slightly mad interviews and get the team firing on all cylinders before it's too late.

Leeds did look a cut above us today

They did draw their two home games 0-0 though, including against a Preston team that had ten men for half an hour. So it's a bit early to read too much  into things yet

They have played Bolton already though which is a banker 3 points atm.

We've probably had on balance one of the tougher starts so far so we'll be facing a lot more bottom half teams over the next 6 weeks.

No doubt Cardiff will end the season having won all 46 games.

Would you bank on us beating Bolton away?  Especially as its a nailed on sky fixture?!

I don't care that it is still early in the season.
To be 10 points off the pace after 5 fucking games is diabolical and disgraceful.

We don't know that, for sure.

All we do know, with certainty is they have won far more than us so far. That's the most salient point.

The football has definitely been better the past two league games. The Norwich win was excellent and Bristol in the context of what went before was a sea change even if it was disappointing not to win.

Question remains as to whether they're the bright spots of an average start or whether we will put together a run over the the forthcoming six games that will let us mentally rope off the first three as a short lived poor run.

based on the last 30 odd games, I'm more  confident of roping in Bolton than Cardiff.

Whichever side you sit on it's virtually indisputable that we have to have a very strong September.

Me too. Out with the potato. It's unbelievable to me that people actually believe he's the right man for the job. He's clueless.

I saw a lot of Bolton in league one, they're just a set piece team. Scored loads of them at that level but struggled more this season as championship clubs can defend corners and long throws.

Last season, we finished below a side managed by Neil Warnock. This season after 5 games, we're 10 points behind a side managed by Neil Warnock.

Grim.
