Well done to Steve Bruce and the team. Not a fan of Bruce but we did well and got the win, silly for me to criticize him. Also after loads of trouble sorting my son's season ticket, they have given him a mascot place for the Wigan game, so a good day.

One swallow does not make a summer. Or something like that. Good win though.

It can make for a pleasant evening though.

We don't need to wait long to see if this was just our normal 'gift' of 3 points from Norwich City.

Friday night away at Bristol City - LIVE ON TV! - should give us an idea of whether we have turned a corner or not.

Don't let us down, Bruce and co.

Today we played two hungry kids up front and we were much better - we were dangerous. I have no idea if he did it on purpose or just was forced into it.

Jury's still out for me.
I cant help feeling that Bruce set that team up and made the changes out of desperation rather than by design.

Still he did it and he made an important substitution that we could all see was crying out to be made.
The big test is will he be brave enough to set up like that on a regular basis and especially away from home.

OK he won a match out of 3 when we should have won all 3 but what was that rant about? It was a graceless post match press conference from our manager.

You often see foreign players coming into the country and one of the lines used is "can they do it on a cold windy night in Stoke-on-Trent?"

For me we can use that phrase for our team.

We will pick up plenty of points at VP this season but it's not enough if we surrender everytime we go outside Aston.

What I want to see at Bristol is the same positive outlook in our play even if we go a goal down. We need to be much more positive away from home so hopefully SB will start implementing it in his talks to the group.
