Yes Hourihane and Onomah getting close to Davis so he isn't 20 yards from everyone else is the key. Otherwise it will be the usual huge gaps between defence and attack and we already know the result of that.

Thanks Dave.

So, back on topic maybe......

Does today's side smack of a bit of desperation? I'm not sure, I'm really not sure, but a bad defeat today is going to make his position untenable.

Having said that, I'd rather today be the start of an unbeaten 30 game run.

I actually think he's got the right formation and is playing the players selected in the right positions. Has he picked the right players? I suppose we'll see but if this side is given the freedom to get forward (I'm talking about you, Hourihane and Onomah) then we should have more than enough yup win today.

Yep, that's a good point. How much license will they have to keep going forward, even if we go a goal up?

Really hope young KD can do well today.

Cheers for the welcome, guys.

I do try to air on the positive side, when it comes to Villa, but hopefully not annoyingly so.

Don't worry, we'll soon beat that positivity out of you.

I don't know about that Dave, I'm made of strong stuff. 😉

He's gone, can we all just leave it there now and draw a line under it.

Thank Christ for that.

At least we know we can attack and score. Much more promising. Bruce needs to use this game as a springboard and not be a case of how it often was under Lambert when we'd pull a good performance and/or result out and then go back to being crap.

He needs to look at that game and decide where his priorities lie - attack or defence. Because as far as I can see, there's only one way we can get out of this league.

You see. This management lark really isn't that difficult!

Perspective is required. Consistency is more important. Hopefully this is the turning point for us. Bristol is winnable, so go and do it.

Turning point maybe but let's face it, without all the injuries etc he wouldn't have selected Davis up front and he still persists with Donkey Hutton and the choice of bringing in an ageing Terry to play alongside already slow Chester.

If we do improve I fear it's despite of him not because of him.
