The only thing that giving him more time will do is enable him to prove he is the worst manager we have had since MON. With the possible exception of Eric Black who was really a manager at all.

Given the fact that any media reports that his position is being questioned just mirror the questions that have been asked on here it might be that it's intended as a dig at the media but it's also clearly true that it applies to a big section of the fan base as well.  Add to that the context of him saying that we were unlucky to lose to Reading and he's setting himself at odds with a lot of fans.  As someone said if he's watched that game and thought we deserved something then it's every bit as pathetic as some of the shitty interviews Lambert gave and was ripped to shreds over.

Agree.  You feel that if we had got an equalizer in the 10 minutes we actually played against Reading he would have claimed were were unlucky not to have won.  Straight from the Alternative Facts playbook.

he's the worst manager we've had for 50 years maybe ever

the two other worsts in my lifetime were Turner and Mcniell they were both useless but took over teams and squads that were ok and made them worse

it takes a very special kind of skill to take on something that has been rubbish for years breaking records in crapness then spend a few million on it and actually make it worse

if we had randomly plucked a couple supporters out of the stands every week to coach and pick the side it couldn't have been any worse

the blokes a fucking genius to manage to take a turd of a team and make it smell worse than shit

"I shouldn’t have to judge myself after such a short time."

10 months is too short?? If anything the football is getting uglier and uglier. When should we expect the miracle of playing well Steve? Thats right, never, because thats not something that interests you.

Out son. We are Aston Villa. We are better than this.

Who else after nearly a year in the job has had us 23rd in division 2? Last season was our lowest finish since 1974. He's better than Eric Black mind.

Bit early to give a monkeys about being 23rd. Win tomorrow and we will be mid table. Cardiff lose two on the spin they'll be bottom half.

It wasn't Bruce's fault we were in the 2nd Division. He bears responsibility for the performances of course, but John's comment that has been highlighted is utter nonsense.

To be fair john, you've never given him a chance!

true enough but I've never kept that a secret either

if he had walked in through the door turned round and walked straight back out again it would have been to long for me

but he wasn't some young hopeful I knew exactly what we were getting and didn't want it

he has been worse than even i thought but even at the height of his powers when he was at Blues or Hull there was never one single second of one single day when I wished he was our manager

I know what I do not like and i don't like Bruce Football, tactics, signings, team set ups etc and that was before he came
Frankly I think he's a fucking rubbish manager who fans even when he's done well don't care when he leaves he's that bloody boring

he has no place at Aston Villa and should never have been appointed

but you are right enough Chris, I didn't give him a chance but he's done nothing to make me think again

If we were top it wouldn't be too early to give him praise.

It's mainly his fault we're still in it, and look like staying in it.

It would be too early to consider we were bossing the league. It would be nice, but not massively important. The same way the start isnt acceptable, the fact we're 23rd after three games is neither here nor there.

The fact we're 23rd means we have eight points fewer than some teams, which if we're allegedly going to be competing with them could be rather important.

Spot on.  Another draw or defeat we will need to average 1.9 points a game to make the playoffs and 2.2 for automatic promotion compared to 1.7 and 2 for the first game of the season.
