I've said it before on this thread and others but the minute we were safe last season was the time to sack him. His football comes from the dark ages and a we were crying out for a forward thinking manager. It's not just here, his football has always been this way and against similar teams it worked for him. He's been well and truly found out now. We may well win on Tuesday and go on a run but the trend will always be backwards. The longer he stays the longer it will be to recover from his management

We have lost every away game under Bruce in which we have conceeded first, the total is 11 games, there hasn't been a single time in any of those games when we have even got the scores back level at any point.

Under Bruce we've won 4 league games in which the opposition scored. None in 2017.

We've won 1 when the opposition scored first.

In every possible way we look utterly inept and lost as a club. I'll concede the Doc is trying off the pitch, saying the right things, trying to do the right things but on it, he's thrown a lot of cash at the situation and it's just massively broken. Yet again. He must be at wits end too. Hired two managers who both with lesser resources got clubs promoted. Bruce 4 fucking times. Yet here we are again. Lost and drifting along not having any kind of direction. How the fuck can it keep happening to us. I feel like John McClain.

Actually my stat above applies to the last 89 league games! 4 leagues wins out of 89 when the opposition have scored and 1 when they scored first. It's actually impressive to be that shit!

The often used expression "You don't know what you doing" has never been more apt than when ignoring everything else just consider these 3 things:
Re-intro of Gabby
Bringing Samba on in injury time last week to hoof it up to him
The post match interview today

FFS GO NOW.

I think waiting for Bruce to turn it around is an example of the gambler's fallacy. You find it impossible to cut your losses because you figure your losing streak is bound to end soon, when in actual fact it's much better to leave the table and learn your lesson. We can all see the type of football Bruce has us playing. We know it's not going to change just by waiting. Two games in doesn't matter - we know what we can expect based on the last ten months so let's get rid.
Perfectly put.
Yes well said. Not sacking  now and saying wait till xxxxx  is just like that last desperate gamble. We really should have sacked him once making the play off gamble failed.

I saw the team, looked at how they were set up and think, what are you trying to do?
We got beat easily today because we were a Fukien shambles.

On the one hand I am sick of changing managers and want him to get more time.

On the other hand I have a horrible feeling that in a few weeks rather than gloating and telling everyone "I told you we should stick with him" I will be saying "Bruce out".

Give Bruce the rest of this season and then try and get Chris wilder in as he''s good at getting teams out of division one.

I was definitely on the side of giving him a good run of games this season

Today has shaken that hugely

Sacking him after a few games - the fourth season in a row we've sacked a manager mid season - just screams of panic

To be honest I'm just despondent and not sure what difference it makes.

Basically I think it depends who's available  - e.g. If we think we can get jokanovic

But at some point when clearly talented players, managers etc fail utterly you have to think there's just a fundamental problem that we can't overcome

I'd like to be angry and believe that if only we got rid of Bruce we'd be loads better. But I'm just disappointed. Again.

I am not a fan of appointing managers who have been out of the game for a good while but I am starting to wonder if Brian Little might be the answer. I am actually wondering if Ron Saunders might be the answer!
